Soundgarden vs. Linkin Park-Day 10

After Pearl Jam handed it to Finger Eleven in a nearly unanimous vote, we move on to our second Western Conference matchup, we move on to a battle between one of the finest grudge groups of the 90s versus one of the most popular modern groups of the 00s. First we have the group strongly lead by the vocals of Chris Cornell, Soundgarden. Although Soundgarden originally gained success once grudge really hit in 91 with Nevermind, they were around for at least half of the 80s. In 1994, they put out what could be called one of the best records of the 90s, Superunknown. It perfected the group's sound they formed with their previous three records, and did very well commercially with lead singles "Black Hole Sun" and "Spoonman". As for our second band, we have a band who brings a certain experimental element to their music, Linkin Park. First gaining success in the early 00s with hit single "In the End", Linkin Park has put out three hit records so far, with their most recent, "Minutes to Midnight", changing the style they had on the original two records by adding more ballads, and even guitar solos. This next matchup should be an interesting one...let's get to voting!
