After our closest matchup yet with Nirvana edging out Stone Temple Pilots by a single vote (4-3), we move on to our 5th matchup-The Killers vs Green Day. While the Killers have been one of the more popular alt-rock bands this decade, Green Day has been around for quite a while. Originally part of the punk rock bands to see mainstream success in the 1990s, the band has recently changed their style and since their popularity has been renewed. There's people who like/dislike the new stuff, so it'll be interesting to see how that plays into their decision. If there's a band who has anything to prove in this round, it's the Killers. They are still starting out as a band with only two records released so far, so it'll be interesting to see how they match up with Green Day.
