Winner: The Offspring!

After numerous intense matchups and almost 3 months of competition, we have crowned a champion-The Offspring! Congratulations to the rockers for taking the competition's first trophy.

The Finale!

After 30 intense matchups and the course of two months, 32 bands competed in a head-to-head style competition. Only two have survived, which will now compete in our last and final round. This is it for our competition. I hope it was enjoyed by all who voted and I hope it will have a satisfying conclusion.

Voting will take place over the next week. By mid-next week, we will have a champion. Now, get to the vote for one last time, and of course, VOTE FOR THE BAND YOU WANT TO WIN!

Audioslave vs. Red Hot Chili Peppers-Day 30

After we saw The Offspring advance to our final round by a vote of 3-1 over Metallica, we have one more semifinal matchup to deal with-Audioslave vs. Red Hot Chili Peppers. The two bands have fought very competitively to reach this spot, and now it's time for them to square off. This should be a great one-vote now!

Metallica and The Offspring are both legends of their respective genres, and have been going strong for numbers of years now. Ironically, they both have a new album coming out this year, which will continue to support them as rock legends.

Rate the Rock has come down to the final stretch-and it's time to crown conference champions and see who will prevail as the greatest band of all time. First for the east we have Metallica vs. The Offspring, and in the west we have Audioslave vs. Red Hot Chili Peppers. Those matchups will lead to the ultimate showdown in the final match. After Audioslave defeated Pearl Jam by a vote of 4-1, we move on to one of the toughest matchups yet, Red Hot Chili Peppers vs. Foo Fighters. In our last round before the semi-finals, this one is going to get very intense. Vote now!

After The Offspring demolished Tenacious D by a unanimous vote, the eastern conference semi finals are set in stone-The Offspring vs. Metallica. Next up is our first battle between western conference bands Pearl Jam and Audioslave. Time to vote!
